Overview

Villa Solare is a stunning luxury villa directly on the lakeshore. Near Gargnano, the villa boasts stunning views throughout and complete privacy and quiet. Entirely new, the villa has been built to the highest modern standards within the original shell of a wonderful ancient building. The designers have been sure to keep original stone walls and marble floors. Villa Solare is a wonderful hideaway for a relaxing, lakeside getaway.

Lovingly restored, the living areas are spacious and bright and there is a well equipped kitchen and dining area.

Head outside to the patio for another dining area and all-too-important barbecue. Villa Solare also boasts 2000 square meters of beautiful terraced gardens leading down to the lake and plenty of loungers to soak up the sun and views! The villa has it’s own private lake access with swimming dock and there is also a buoy for boat mooring. There is also a large jacuzzi hot tub in the garden, completely private and overlooking the lake.

The villa sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms; there are 2 double bedrooms both with queensize beds and a single pouf bed each. There is also one single bedroom. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 with shower and one with bathtub.

Good to Know

Guests also have use of the villa’s SUP board – a great way to explore the shoreline close to the villa.

Inside, there is a media area with SKY satellite channels and WIFI is included. There is also air conditioning throughout.

Location

The town of Gargnano, with a ferry port and marina, is about 1.5km along the flat lakeside. A city steeped in history and charm, Gargnano started as a monastery in the 1200s, where the monks grew lemons and the first ever Limonaia were born.

The town has a good selection of quaint small local shops and restaurants. Though only a small village, Gargnano boasts not one, but two Michelin star restaurants: Villa Feltrinelli and La Tortuga. And for less formal nights out, there are a number of excellent restaurants and pizzerias, some right on the waterfront with lakeside tables.

Although close to Gargnano (around 20 minutes on foot), we would strongly suggest having a vehicle here.
