Villa Pianello sits directly on the shores of Lake Como and is close to the lakeside town of Menaggio. With unspoilt views over the water and mountains as well as a private swimming pool, the villa offers a perfect location for a peaceful lakeside retreat.

The beach and lake are on the doorstep and the villa is just a short walk away from the village of Pianello del Lario with a few quaint shops and restaurant. A 15 minute drive brings you to the heart of the well-known Lake Como town of Menaggio.

Contemporary style meets classic heritage in Villa Pianello, with antique terracotta floor tiles on the ground floor and chestnut-wood floors upstairs. Earthy colours and natural materials are a fine complement to the villa's high-quality, modern finish.

The villa sleeps 12 guests over 6 ensuite bedrooms and a spacious interior makes this villa ideal for larger groups travelling together. The ground floor is host to the first double ensuite bedroom and which is ideal for guests with mobility issues. At the back of the kitchen is a staff bedroom with bathroom, suitable for 2 guests and which is available on request.

Head upstairs to 5 double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms and all of which can be used as either double or twin rooms. Some also open on to the first floor terrace and offer wonderful views over the lake and mountains.

From a cozy sitting room with grand piano to a bright and spacious living room, the open-plan living area on the ground floor is a great place for entertaining. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a wonderful dining space with antique table, big enough for the largest of dinner parties.

Large doors lead outside to the patio, a perfect spot to watch the boats bob on the water as you enjoy breakfast in the sun or to set up the sunset barbecue and gaze over the lake and mountains beyond.

Step out to the gardens and relax by your own private swimming pool - relax poolside with a spritz, play games with the kids or simply cool off during sun soaked afternoons - the pool overlooks the lake and is furnished with sun loungers and parasols.

Villa Pianello has WIFI throughout and Air Conditioning is in the upper 5 bedrooms. The lower bedroom has a ceiling fan.

Please note The public beach and footpath run between the villa boundary and the shore.

LOCATION

Located overlooking Lake Como's western shore, Villa Pianello is just a short walk along the lake to the quiet village of Pianello del Lario, offering grocery shops and restaurant. The wonderful town of Menaggio is just 10km away and can even be reached by ferry from the port in the village. From here, hop on another ferry across the lake to famous Bellagio, known as the 'Pearl of the Lake".

There are plenty of wonderful places within driving distance, giving you a real taste of this wonderful area. For the more adventurous, Lake Como offers a great selection of water sports and if you fancy something a little slower, try a sunset lake cruise.

The centre of Como itself is about an hour away by car and should certainly be on the list for a day trip. It's bustling with shops, bars and restaurants and with historical sights, water sports and hiking trails all nearby, you'll have plenty to do.

A car is recommended here and private parking within the villa.

This villa is about 2 hours from Milan Bergamo and Milan Linate airports and around 90 minutes to 2 hours from Malpensa airport.
