Escape to a wonderful oasis at Villa Mansarda, a beautiful, privately owned villa nestled in the hills above the pretty town of Malcesine. Made up of 3 independent apartments, the villa is a classic Italian family home and offers spectacular lake views!
Offering the best of both worlds, the villa is peacefully perched on the hill top, offering tranquility and a perfect place to sit back and relax and watch the lights glisten on the lake. If you fancy something a little more lively, the town is just a 15 minutes walk away and offers a great selection of restaurants, bars and of course ice cream shops!
Two of the apartments have 2 bedrooms and accommodate 6 while the third is a loft apartment, with 1 bedroom sleeping 4.
The living areas of each apartment offer plenty of space to relax and each has large windows welcoming in sunlight and breeze, not to mention stunning lake views from every angle! Step outside and each apartment has it's own own private terrace - wake up each morning to the sun glistening on the lake below or spend your evening soaking up the spectacular sunsets with glass of chilled prosecco!
The living rooms are comfy and each kitchen is fully equipped for whipping up some local dishes and come with all you need including oven and dishwasher. Every apartment has an outside dining table - put them all together and you have a perfect al-fresco dining experience!
On the ground floor is the first apartment opening onto its own panoramic terrace with stunning views over Lake Garda. There is one double bedroom and twin room and an additional sofa bed in the living area. This apartment has one bathroom and sleeps 6 persons.
On the first floor is the second apartment, also opening on to its own private terrace. There is one double bedroom and twin room and an additional sofa bed in the studio area. This apartment has one bathroom, a separate toilet and sleeps 6 persons.
On the top floor is the loft apartment with another wonderful terrace overlooking Lake Garda. There is one double bedroom and two single sofa beds in the living area. This apartment has two bathrooms and sleeps 4 persons.
The villa gardens take full advantage of the beautiful scenery; with flowers spread on the terraces, the gardens are dotted with olive trees and sun loungers surround the wonderful pool, offering the perfect spot to swim and bathe. The highlight of the garden is the stunning views over Malcesine and Lake Garda - it's breathtaking!

Location
We usually recommend having a car when visiting Lake Garda - it opens endless possibilities to explore this wonderful area. However, a car is not absolutely essential here. Malcesine offers all the services you could need including supermarket, shops and plenty of restaurants. If you do have a vehicle, there is parking within the villa grounds.
Please note: The villa is perched on the hillside. The walk to Malcesine is down a steep hill and takes around 15 minutes. Please be aware, coming back up may take a little longer. Taxis are easily available in the town centre if you need.
Villa Mansarda is located on the north east coast of Lake Garda, close to Riva del Garda in the north (17km) and Garda (27km) and Peschiera (53km) in the south. It's a great base for exploring Lake Garda, particularly the north. Malcesine also has a well-connected ferry port for easy access to other areas around Lake Garda.
Villa Mansarda is just over a 1 hour drive from Verona airport and around 2 hours from Milan Bergamo Airport.

Rates from £1,180 GBP (low season) to £1,900 GBP (high season) per week (Apartment 1)
Rates from £950 GBP (low season) to £1,700 GBP (high season) per week (Apartment 2)
Rates from £1,050 GBP (low season) to £1,750 GBP (high season) per week (Penthouse Apartment)

This villa was exceptional and the owner's hospitality was incredible. The pictures you see here are NOT retouched - the villa is actually as beautiful as these pictures display! It is clean with modern updates and the grounds are gorgeous and lush, well-maintained. The infinity pool pampers you and the view is breath-taking. Lemon Tree Rentals treated me well and Richard was very responsive and helpful. Overall, this has been a wonderful experience that far exceeded my expectations.

We have just got back after a week at this stunning location. We had a party of 10 and we stayed in both apt1 & apt2 at villa Malcesine. Both properties alot better then the photos on the rental site look. One major problem, no air conditioning. The owner did state she was getting it installed for next year. The properties infinity pool is amazing with a great view looking over Malcesine. All the facilities you need and free wifi.Malcesine town centre is a 10 minute walk down a very very steep path. Taxi's are easily got hold and cost 10 euros during the day and 15 euro's. If you are driving there parking at the villa is great but in the town it is a nightmare. My advice would be to leave the car at the villa if you go into the town and enjoy a great meal from one of the many restaurants along with a few glasses of red wine. I would highly recommend this villa and I have no doubt I will be back.

Malcesine offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe and there is no better place to take in its grandeur than from the balcony of Michela's apartment with its sweeping views of Lake Garda, the imposing Garda Mountains and the village below with its terraced roof tops and imposing castle. Michela is a wonderful host - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the region. She is an absolute delight and we feel privileged to have meet her. The apartment is comfortable and tastefully decorated with all modern conveniences. There are scenic walks up into the mountain behind the apartment and there is an easy walk down the steep slope into the village with its cobble stone streets and lake side restaurants. But, and this had been mentioned by others, the apartment is best enjoyed with a car, which we didn't have, but others staying in the complex did. The climb back up the steep slope is not for the physically challenged but,as Michela said to us, by the end of the stay 'you'll be flying up the hill'. And so it was. We got fitter for the experience of not having a car, so the choice is up to each person/couple. The sunsets, the walks in the mountain and along the Lake, coffee in the village, lunch in a lakeside piazza restaurant and the comfort of the apartment made this a memorable part of our trip to Europe. Myself and a party of friends chose the villa and location to celebrate a special birthday of mine. I wanted a beautiful location, stunning views, a lovely comfortable villa where we could all have a separate bedroom, swim in a gorgeous pool and sit around in the evenings together enjoying the sunsets. I certainly got my wish! It exceeded my expectations, we were all so thrilled with the whole package. The owner was SO helpful and friendly, she generously gave us lifts to places and everything in the apartments was clean,bright and very well equipped. (Just very small points - in the bigger apartment a full length mirror and scissors in the kitchen would be great) The outside gardens and infinity pool were out of this world, just divine. Lots of tables and chairs for lounging, everything we needed. Obviously , there is a walk up and down when you are positioned up that high, but that was fine, better down than up of course! I would say it takes half an hour really, especially when you are carrying shopping back from the supermarket (which is excellent by the way and very near the path back up.) The villa is in such a great position as you can travel by ferry/ bus to all the towns around the lake from Malcesine or enjoy chilling at home - which we often did! So, we are all missing the lovely Lake Garda and the gorgeous Villa Monsarda, it has given us so many wonderful memories and laughs to treasure - no one could fail to fall in love with the whole experience and we highly recommend it to anyone.
