Chalet Zen is a high-end contemporary chalet in the heart of the exclusive village of Cortina d’Ampezzo, known locally as the Queen of the Dolomites. Surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Dolomites, this stunning Chalet is renowned as one of the most exclusive in Cortina and in Italy.

Lovingly crafted and meticulously designed, this deluxe chalet is nestled within a private estate in the centre of this stunning mountain resort. Spanning two acres and featuring beautiful views over the mountains, the estate is just a few minutes walk away from the centre of Cortina and the areas’ best skiing including the Dolomiti Super Ski is on the doorstep.

The chalet spreads over 900 square metres and four floors, connected by an elevator, with the ground floor being the main entrance and lobby. This floor is entirely occupied by a cozy living area complete with fireplace and bar area. There is a professionally equipped kitchen with centre island, home to the chalet’s private Michelin chef and a grand dining room – the perfect spot for entertaining.

Guests also have access to the beautifully appointed wine cellar boasting the region’s most extensive private collection of fine wines and cigars.

The first floor is dedicated to a spacious living room with fireplace and bar area as well as a separate TV room. The wrap around terrace offers stunning views of the beautiful Dolomite mountains that surround Cortina.

Chalet Zen sleeps 12 guests across six spacious suites, carefully designed to create the ultimate bedroom suites. Expect the very finest linen and luxury bath products by Acqua di Parma. Each of the six double suites features an en-suite bathroom and are located across multiple floors.

The top floor is host to the magnificent master bedroom complete with fireplace, walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi. The master suite also has a private balcony, a wonderful spot to have breakfast with a view. There are a further two double suites on this floor, both with en-suite bathroom and one opening onto the balcony.

There are two more double suites back down on the first floor. These are both ensuite and open on to the wrap-around balcony. The guest bedroom (double en-suite) is down on the lower floor.

The highlight of this deluxe chalet is its Japanese Zen-inspired spa and wellness area on the lower floor. This space boasts a heated pool and sauna, a perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes or hiking in the mountains. The chalet also has a state of the art gym and a dedicated massage therapist, on hand to provide daily complimentary massages.

For ultimate entertainment, enjoy movie nights in the cosy private cinema, complete with lavish sofas and armchairs. With soundproofing and lush soft carpets, the cinema room can be converted quickly into a wonderful children’s play area.

Good to know

The chalet gardens and balconies are incredible spots for breakfast or evening aperitivo during the warmer months and offer incredible views across the estate to the ski resort and mountain peaks.

For stays in winter, there is a heated ski room with boot warmers. The chalet has WIFI throughout and access to the usual media streaming services such as Apple TV, Netflix and Amazon.

For larger groups travelling together, sister Chalet Blu is available and also accommodates 12 guests. The private estate is exclusive to the two chalets and offers complete privacy and seclusion within this world famous resort, making it a perfect choice for a truly luxury family ski holiday in Italy.

Set within the privacy of an exclusive 7000m2 luxury estate, the chalet, together with it’s sister Chalet Zen, sits high offering magnificent views of the mountains and Ampezzo valley. The main street of Cortina, the famous Corso Italia, with its chic boutiques and wonderful restaurants is just a few minutes walk from the chalet.

The cable car to the Faloria-Cristallo ski area is just a 2 minutes walk or if you prefer, the chalet’s complimentary driver service will run you to the cable car at Tofana, in less than 10 minutes. The Dolomiti Super Ski area with it 1,200km of slopes is just 15 minutes away.

The closest airports to Chalet Blu are Venice (2 hours), Innsbruck (2.5 hours) and Verona (3 hours). The chalet has underground parking for up to 8 vehicles and private airport transfers can be arranged for guests wishing to travel without a vehicle. Helicopter transfers are also available.
