  • Description

    Why we love it...

    • The location is so close to both the lake and town, you can wander in at night for an aperitivo and a pizza!

    • The lake views are just wonderful

    • The pool is great for kids and grown ups

    • The apartment has air conditioning, perfect for a respite from the heat

With just eight apartments, the residence is small and exclusive and designed for families and couples alike. It is located in the port of Moniga del Garda, overlooking the beach and lake and it's just a 10 minute stroll into the town. Within just a few minutes, you can be enjoying a daytime ice cream or a nighttime prosecco - there's a great selection of restaurants and cafes both lakeside and in the town itself.

Each apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms - a master double suite and a twin room. It is also possible to add a 5th bed for children up to 3 years old. There is one designer bathroom, complete with shower and hair dryer.

The modern living space is open plan with large glass doors welcoming in the sunlight and breeze. Step through and take full advantage of the terrace - watch the sunset and enjoy a glass of chilled "vino bianco" - Lugana is our local wine of choice! It really is excellent!

The living room is comfortable and the kitchen comes complete with all you need for Italian cooking, including American-style fridge, ice dispenser and the all-important dishwasher.

Meals can be enjoyed inside the apartment and on the terrace, there's another table, great for some al-fresco dining!

There's plenty of space for the family to relax together with a comfortable sofa and there's a large flat-screen TV with DVD, perfect for movie night! There is also free WIFI in the apartment.

The apartment has air conditioning and is in both the living area and bedrooms.

Outside the apartments, the gardens are home to the beautiful swimming pool, perfect for the whole family. Each apartment has sun loungers but they're also dotted around the pool too, making it a perfect place to spend your days. There's also a jacuzzi, shallow area for the little ones and a play area and although we like to think it never rains in Lake Garda (!), if it does, there's a great indoor lounge room complete with large TV, Playstation, Wii and other games.

If you fancy mixing it up a little, why not spend the day on the beach? Although not sand (it's stone), the lake is wonderfully clear and perfect for swimming!

Other facilities in the residence include a laundry, bbq, iron board and safe.

    Do I need a Car?
We usually recommend having a car when visiting Lake Garda - it opens endless possibilities to explore this wonderful area. However, a car is not essential here. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance and there is a good supermarket just 1km away. If you do have a vehicle, then there is an indoor garage.

Azalia is located on the south coast of Lake Garda, right in the middle of two larger towns - Salò to the west (10km) and Desenzano to the east (8km). It's a perfect base for exploring Lake Garda with plenty of day trip options including Verona, Milan and Venice.

Ferries regularly leave the nearby ports so you can head out on the waters to explore more towns around Lake Garda.

Just 20 minutes drive from the main A4 Milan-Venice motorway, Azalia is about a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

If you need car hire, take a look at our great deals on discount car hire here. We are also happy to organise transfers direct from the airport to this property. Contact us here.

If you are looking to travel using local transport, do let us know - we can give you plenty of information and tips.

    • Fantastic appartment, great views and extremely helpful staff.

The whole process for this letting was superb - start to finsih. Self-catering appartment was clean, well presented, very new and well equipped (especially the Kitchen). The appartment had great views of the lake and a short stroll to the ferry (though limited schedules in the off-season). The appartment and the facilities were great for a family - overall a wonderful holiday. Absolutely fantastic, polite, helpful and nice service from the staff, especially the receptionist (Jana) - kids loved her !. Would recommend this appartment to friends and family. Thanks.

We could not fault anything in this apartment. The furniture, decor, and appliances are to a high and modern standard, the beds were all extremely comfortable and the bed-linen and towels were clean and fresh. There are two washing machines, a tumble-drier and an ironing board with iron to use for all guests, free of charge, in the laundry room, which is located in the basement. My two children loved the playroom, which again is fitted out to a very high standard and has all the modern equipment children love. The pool was gorgeous with two jacuzzi areas on either side and a 'waterfall' in the centre of the pool, which my children loved! There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds both around the pool and outside each apartment on their terrace/balcony. For toddlers there is a selection of play apparatus located at the front of the apartments, and if you fancy a BBQ there are two to use either side of the apartments. It was lovely waking every morning and being able to sit outside and enjoy breakfast with the wonderful view of Lake Garda. The apartments are conveniently positioned so that within two minutes you are right on the edge of the Lake. The lady on the front reception desk was also very helpful and friendly. We loved our holiday so much we have already booked to stay there again next year!

From checking in to checking out Sonia couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment was spacious and very clean with a lovely outdoor terrace area also. The only caution I would say about the apartment is that if there were two couples staying there there is insufficient lounge seating for four people. The sofa would, at a squeeze, accommodate three people. A couple of Tupairs would overcome this as though small they are extremely comfortable.i would totally recommend these apartments.

We have just returned from our third year staying in these apartments which is testament to just how good they are. Love the clean and simple feel of the apartments, and the thought that has gone into them. All the facilities you would need, and a few little luxuries as well! The morning deliveries of croissants, baguettes and milk are a great touch, the kids love it! The pool and lounger area are an ideal size, never feels overcrowded and has been a great social platform for our girls who have made numerous friends there over the years, as have we! Our family just love it here, situated in a great area with restaurants, markets, boats and even a little road train to the centre of Moniga! We can't wait to return.

    • Incredible spot in Moniga del Garda

After a lot of research, I found Azalia and it couldn't have been more perfect! We were family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10). It fit all our needs. It truly is within walking distance (less than 3 minutes downhill) of the marina & several restaurants and bars. There is a great family atmosphere down by the lakeshore. The complex is very secure, with a fence all the way around. A great outdoor playground for kids on the side of the building plus a fully equipped game room downstairs. Access is limited to times that the office is open (usually 9am - 12noon and again from 4 to 7pm)for the game room. The pool is lovely and the shallow end is nice for younger children. A bit chilly even in June (solar heat would be a great addition:) The apartments are amazingly clean and modern. The A/C works awesome and is in every room. The kitchen is fully equipped, even a espresso machine with which you are provided several starter pods and can purchase more from the office. There is also offer bread service which is amazing, reasonably priced and fresh breads and milk will be left at your door by 9am (you must order day before at the office)! The bedrooms have plenty of closet space and the bathroom is spacious by European standards. The beds are comfortable. The terrace is definitely a highlight. Plenty of seating to have a meal and the 2 sun loungers are very comfortable for relaxing and reading a book. You can see the lake and marina, gorgeous views. There is covered underground parking and a laundry room. Jana in reception is lovely and very helpful! (Thank you Jana for making our stay great!). There are also bbq facilities downstairs if you are so inclined. The ferry from the moniga dock has service to Sirimone which is an excellent morning trip (about a 1/2 hour boat ride) Sirimone is much more touristy than moniga but a nice day outing good for souvenir shopping, geleterias and a must do is a self-guided tour of the Castle. You can pay for your trip to Sirimone aboard the ferry, it's very easy and convenient. From your apartment the town of moniga (main square) is about a 10 minute walk and there are several restaurants and shops. There is also a public soccer field there as well. The grocery store is a 15 minute (about a mile) walk and has everything you might need for your stay. Favorite restaurants in Moniga include Al Porto, by far the best apertivo spot adjacent to the lake so your kids can play on beach while you enjoy an aperol spritz. Al Porto had excellent food & service overall. The Spaghetti con Vongole was my favorite but the lamb was delicious as well. La Dogana in town very good (get the clam soute, giant pot of little tender clams served at your table), La Pescatrice has really nice pizzas and seafood as well, right next to marina and also has playground for kids. Another day outing that we truly enjoyed was Parco Termale del garda - about a 30 minute drive. Natural hot springs so if weather is cool or overcast its a great spot because water temp is about 33 - 37C. Beautiful grounds, clean and there is a restaurant and coffee bar on site by the larger of the pools. As you can tell by my review, our stay was absolutely wonderful and Azalia lived up to all our expectations. I highly recommend this property if you have kids, want to relax and love a "lakeside atmosphere". One tip for finding the place as GPS may or may not get you to the exact address - once you get to Moniga follow the brown/white signs that say "Porto". Rent this apartment and you will have an amazing stay on Lake Garda!!!!! I know we did:)

We have just returned from a lovely weeks' stay at Moniga. It more than fullfilled our expectations. The apartmemt is comfortable, well furnished and very clean. A super modern bathroom, plenty of towels, great rainfall shower. It was sometimes a little noisy in the early morning as the back room is near the road but it was not really a problem. The little port area with bars, restaurants and a lively promenade was a delight. There was regular live music at one bar and obviously a popular local venue. We plan to return. Can I also add that the organisation by Lemon Tree has been wonderful. How lovely to deal with a real person and feel like a valued client. Great customer service. My only slight irritant was a lack of power points in the kitchen - clearly designed by a man!!

We had one of the apartments on the upper floor and a wonderful view over the harbor and Lake Garda. The balcony, the very quality and the environment have the vacation turned into a real experience: 50 meters from the (pebble) beach, boat dock, marina, pizzeria etc 300 meters up the hill into the village to all what makes Italian cuisine. The nightlife can be enjoyed from the balcony or hide it with closed balcony door (good, draft-free A/C). Processing, reception and service were always very accommodating and hospitable. We will be back!

Dealing with Lemon Tree Rentals was very easy, they were very helpful and answered my questions very promptly. The accommodation was very modern and exactly as the photos showed and had all the amenities needed and unbelievable views across the lake. The lovely girl (sorry didn't catch her name) on reception was extremely helpful and gave us advice on a number of occasions. We were a family of 4 with two adult boys. Unfortunately when we were there, there were a lot of small children so it was quite noisy. But we went out most days and really enjoyed Verona, Sirmione and Gordone Riviera. Loads of restaurants within a short walk and we tended to eat in the town. All in all a very pleasant stay

Very high standard holiday apartment with great pool area and garden. Spotless an very well equipped. The view from the ground floor is not as good as expected. But it was very convenient to stay on the first floor with children as the pool was only steps away from the apartment. Some annoying noise in the evening from entertainment close to the beach.
