Riva del Garda
Riva is the second largest town on Lake Garda and is situated right at the very top of the lake. A lively and elegant resort, Riva's long beaches and summer breeze also make it (and Nago Torbole) the main centres for windsurfing and sailing on the lake.
The beautiful old town, reached through the ancient gates, is full of ambling narrow lanes and ancient buildings yet a perfect spot for some shopping or simply an aperitivo overlooking the lake, watching the world pass by.
Visitors will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the towering mountains surrounding this pretty town and the harbour and ferries offer the perfect way to visit other towns on Lake Garda.
